Resources for Thriving Through Trauma

Here you'll find a curated list of mental health resources to support your journey to healing and happiness. We understand the challenges individuals face when seeking help and aim to provide trustworthy resources in a safe environment. The listed mental health resources are effective and trustworthy because they prioritize safety, trustworthiness, and client-centered care, focusing on creating a secure and supportive environment for individuals to explore their experiences without fear of re-traumatization. They also emphasize collaboration and empowerment, recognizing the importance of client voice and choice in the healing process.

For mental health resources in any State, start by contacting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988 or the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities also provides services for mental health and substance use disorders. Additional resources include the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).
